Start PlanningWhere lush native bush disappears into the South Pacific Ocean, entertainment up here comes in the form of the ocean. A vast marine playground filled with first-class sailing, deep sea fishing, and dolphin or whale watching, these are days made for being spent on the water. Though, if you’re not so sure of your sea legs, take a hike up to Cape Reinga with its ‘end-of-the-line’ lighthouse or explore the small, historical village of Russell just a few minutes away from the hotel. Cap it all off with a private helicopter flight over the islands for a dreamlike perspective.
The Adventure Capital
From the Bay of Islands, it’s straight on down to the South Island and the adrenaline-pumped city of Queenstown. Get a peaceful perspective on all of the action from the lakeside haven of Rosewood Matakauri where fine dining and soothing spa treatments are the order of the day. Begin your exploration of the ‘adventure capital of the world’ that lies on your doorstep with an awe-inspiring helicopter flight over Milford Sound. Touchdown on a glacier for a glass of bubbles and experience the blue and green ice falls and crevasses from up close. A hard act to follow, but with everything that Queenstown has on offer, we’re sure you’ll find something that tickles your fancy. Be it fly fishing, jet boating or bungee diving; this is a place for pushing the limits.
Off Grid
Your next stop will take you so far from civilization, you’ll struggle to believe it exists. Jumping in a helicopter, after all, it’s the only way to reach where you’re headed, we’ll whisk you out over Queenstown, through a glacial valley and across Lake Wanaka into the untouched Southern Alps to the ultimate hideaway; Minaret Station. Set high above the clouds, your stay at Minaret will give you access to heli tours, hikes, skiing and, of course, some truly stunning views that’ll take your breath away as soon as you arrive. Home to just four luxurious chalets, it’s just you and the great outdoors here. So take a deep breath in, and simply let go.
Back in Time to Paradise
Crossing the International Date Line, you’ll have an extra day to enjoy paradise – and as soon as you step into the barefoot luxury of The Brando, you’ll be glad of it. If you’re looking for unadulterated desert island bliss, this is it. Sitting pretty on its own private isle in the heart of French Polynesia, expect crystal lagoon views and unforgettable sunsets. Spend your days exploring the surrounding wildlife, whether you prefer to cycle, snorkel, or take to the paddle board. Evenings can be spent indulging in cuisine designed by a Michelin-starred chef, or sipping cocktails in tree-top seating areas that look out across the palm canopy. This is private island living as it should be, and we can guarantee you will feel an affiliation with this place that leaves you never wanting to leave.
Sadly, all good things must come to an end and after six sundrenched days here, it’s time to pack those bags and head back to reality.
