Rascal Voyages
Two handcrafted phinisi yachts, Rascal and Rebel, form the heart of Rascal Voyages – each a floating gateway to Indonesia’s most remote islands. Built by the Konjo artisans of South Sulawesi, the sister ships marry traditional Indonesian boatbuilding with a distinctly modern sensibility. Rascal leans into a Hamptons-chic aesthetic; Rebel goes bolder with black-and-white detailing, traditional Ikat textiles, and pared-back décor. Both sail the same extraordinary waters, carry the same exceptional crew, and deliver the same rare combination of off-grid adventure and genuine, unhurried comfort.
LOCATION
Routes shift with the seasons: Komodo National Park from May to September, Raja Ampat from October to April, and the Spice Islands during the crossings in between, as the boats migrate between the two regions. Other pockets of paradise the fleet sails to include the Ring of Fire, the Eastern Lesser Sunda Islands, and Wakatobi.
YOUR ROOM
Each yacht accommodates up to ten guests in five light-filled, air-conditioned cabins, all positioned above deck to maximize natural light and panoramic ocean views. Two double cabins sit on the upper deck – one with doors opening onto a private aft terrace, our preferred pick. On the main deck, two additional double cabins are joined by a fifth cabin with a double bed and single bunk, making the layout especially practical for families. All cabins include ensuite bathrooms, ample storage, high ceilings, and large windows, with flat-screen TVs, a film library, and Sonos sound systems complementing the hand-crafted interiors.
WHO IT SUITS
Rascal Voyages suits those with an appetite for adventure who won’t compromise on comfort: divers, snorkelers, wildlife lovers, and anyone keen to earn their sundowner. Guests can join a scheduled sailing – typically four nights in Komodo or five to seven in Raja Ampat – or charter a yacht privately. Private charters work especially well for families or groups of friends, with up to ten guests per yacht. Either way, the itinerary bends to you.

Rebel adds a fine wine cellar and a cinema under the stars.
SUSTAINABILITY
Rascal Voyages shares its “Create in Order to Conserve” philosophy with every guest. In Raja Ampat, the company partners with The SEA People, a local NGO dedicated to protecting coral reef ecosystems and supporting coastal communities. Together, they’ve established the Rascal Coral Garden at Yaf Keru – a long-term reef restoration site where coral is actively rehabilitated. Guests can get involved through the “Coral Gardener for a Day” experience or join one of the Conservation Series Voyages. On land, the team extends genuine friendship to the communities it visits, actively helping to uplift local lives and opportunities. The operation runs plastic-free, hires locally, and sources food from the region wherever possible.
