Knight Inlet Lodge
Welcome to knight Inlet Lodge; a destination where adventure and nature are key and wildlife reigns supreme. Set between overwhelming mountain peaks and giant glacier waterfalls, expect to be humbled and awed by the area’s spectacular scenery. This intimate 12 cabin lodge is built for comfort and cosiness, a place to rest and refuel after a day of adventure. Tucked into Glendale Cove and home to the largest concentration of Grizzly Bears in British Columbia, you’ll have the opportunity to watch them in their natural habitat grazing in the grass or catching a bite to eat from the nearby river.
Location
Located 80 kilometres north of Campbell River, Knight Inlet Lodge sits on a secluded spot of land, accessible only by float plane. Just 37 miles from the mouth of the inlet and floating (yes it’s a floating lodge) next to the deep side walls of the longest Fjord on the British Columbia Coast, this is the perfect place to experience the awe-inspiring Canadian wilderness and reacquaint yourself with your inner nature-lover. Although Grizzly Bears are the star attraction here, look to the water and you’ll find an abundance of marine life threatening to steal the show. Here you’ll find seals, sea lions, porpoises, dolphins and whales traveling through the waters. To get up close and personal with these powerful creatures, drift with them in a sea kayak and experience the calming influence of nature all around you.
Your room
In keeping with the natural elements of the surroundings all 12 rooms sleep up to four people and are cedar panelled, providing a raw and cozy charm that remains true to the essence of a log cabin. The floating complex means all guests have an unrestricted view of the water and spectacular scenery. Although wildlife and nature is the main concern here, you can still expect some pretty lavish creature comforts such as wood-burning stoves and an outdoor hot tub where you can relax and reflect on your day’s adventure.
