El Convento is situated in Antigua, a city in the central highlands of Guatemala famous for its well-preserved Spanish Baroque-influenced architecture and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The hotel is located close to the city center and many visitor attractions; guests can expect an hour’s drive from La Aurora Airport to the hotel.

Your Room

Choose from one of the hotel’s 26 sumptuous suites, all named in honour of notable characters from Guatemala’s rich history and the nearby towns. Most of the rooms are centerd around a beautiful courtyard containing a hundred year old Tempixque tree but no two are the same; your room is unique to you. From the relaxing neutral tones to the gorgeous furnishings and authentic local touches including fine art and sculptures, everything has been meticulously thought of.  You can even choose what kind of pillow you’d like, be it hypo-allergenic, memory foam, goose down or magnetic. The bathrooms are all marble and exposed stone walls with natural skylights and L’Occitane products; this is the lap of luxury.
