Overlooking the Valley of the Kings, Viceroy Bali sits atop a river gorge and is just a short drive from the bustling center of Ubud. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to and from the town center, making it even easier to explore one of our favorite Indonesian culture hubs.

YOUR ROOM

Each of the 16 villas has its own private pool and the Balinese chic interiors with traditional Indonesian dark woods, crisp white linens and light, airy decor make for the perfect combination. Our favorite rooms are the Deluxe Terrace Villas – the views from your private pool are hard to beat especially as you unwind on your relaxation balé above your pool.

WHY WE LIKE IT

Private pool aside (in case we hadn’t mentioned that already), the Viceroy is in the perfect location for those who want to enjoy the serene surroundings but also feel the buzz of Ubud. Watching the sunrise over the infinity pool is a must do, and is definitely worth the early wake-up call.
