Perched high in the Atlas mountains, Kasbah Tamadot is a majestic retreat sumptuously decorated for decadent mountain luxury. The name is berber for ‘soft breeze’, signifying the fresh air and calm environment here.
Located on the outskirts of Asni in the foothills of the Atlas mountains, just a short 45-minute drive from Marrakech, Kasbah Tamadot is ideally positioned for total mountain chill-out as well as exploring the buzzing city.
The main two rooms types here are suites and berber tents. Rich red carpets, intricately carved wooden furniture, pillows and throws create a warm, traditionally Moroccan feel with a smothering of luxury. All suites include a terrace or balcony, and the master suite has it’s own private pool. The berber tents are one step up, being out on their own decks with huge soft sofas, heavy Moroccan doors, bronze lamps, and canvas walls which can be tied up to reveal panoramic views of the mountains. These are tents fit for a king and we highly recommend them.
Why we like it
We love the fact that you can eat where you like, and with so many incredible views from Kasbah Tamadot, you’ll want to make the most of it. Whether in your room, by the pool or lily pond, on the balcony, by the fireside bar or simply in the dining room, the local and international food here is top notch and a real feature of an experience here. We love how the owners of Kasbah Tamadot are so involved in the local communities, meaning nearby villages are benefitting from the hotel.
