Cape Town is home to a cutting edge fashion scene, delicious seafood, the finest wine and staggering views (yes, we’re talking about Table Mountain…) and as for the Taj Cape Town Hotel, its the perfect blend of South African heritage and Indian hospitality. What more could you want?
With views of the famous Table Mountain and Cape Town, the Taj is at the top of the famous pedestrian street Saint George’s Mall. The Mall is Cape Town’s storeping and restaurant hub and is within walking distance of the harbor. The international airport is less than thirty minutes drive from the Taj and the hotel offers waterfront transfers.
All the rooms at the Taj are spacious with contemporary furniture designs and huge comfy beds. Delicately patterned carpets are complimented by the pastel walls and silk curtains, and fresh flowers brighten every room. Choose a tower room, with floor-to-ceiling windows to enjoy the best views, sit out on the balcony and watch Cape Town go by or see the sun set over Table Mountain. The Heritage rooms have traditional architecture, high ceilings, big windows and state-of-the-art facilities. Whichever you choose, you are in for a treat.
WHY WE LIKE IT
One thing we just couldn’t get enough of was the chef’s mouth-watering tasting menu at the Bombay Brasserie, a fine dining Indian restaurant that uses traditional ingredients to create a selection of delicious (and wonderfully presented) dishes. Once you’ve eaten here you’ll never quite look at Indian cuisine in the same way again, and when paired with the finest South African wine, you’ll be in foodie heaven.
