Stepping into the Village’s peace and quiet leaves us spellbound every time. The Lanna-style buildings stand right at the center of Chiang Mai’s old town, the 13th century capital of the Lanna Kingdom. Staying at the Tamarind Village though, with its trees, lawns and black and white squirrels, has us feeling like we’re lost in the middle of the last millennium. Wonderfully self-contained, oozing class and dotted with vestiges from the city’s illustrious past, Tamarind Village is our hidden gem in Chiang Mai.
