Turks and Caicos
Amanyara
If you like your beachside vacation with a side of impressive design, a touch of dramatic architecture and of course, secluded white-sand beaches, we’ve found your ideal destination. As soon as you enter Amanyara, and that is through a large pavilion opening onto a central reflection pond surrounded by mahogany trees, you’re aware you’ve arrived somewhere unique. With a library, exclusive boutique, restaurant and bar framing the pond; the resort offers tremendous comfort in stylish surrounds. Just check out the circular bar, with its soaring roof and sea views, fronted by the swimming pool and sun deck.
Location
Amanyara is nestled on the island of Providenciales, one of the Turks & Caicos Islands, and part of the British West Indies. Just a short, scenic drive from the International Airport, you’ll be living the lap of luxury in no time. Stretched across a private beachfront, discover unusual iron shore rocky coves, abundant marine life and some of the world’s best wall and reef diving.
Your Room
Walking into your pavilion, you’re greeted by a private terrace with two comfy daybeds, ideal for catching the afternoon rays. Two more terraces then open out from the open-plan living room and bedroom, filling the area with natural light. For a private dinner with your loved one, why not stay in and head out to the sunken table on your terrace for a dinner beneath the stars? We love the ocean pavilions which give you direct access to a sandy beach cove, but perhaps one of the pool pavilions with their own infinity swimming pool, gym, nanny accommodation and four-seat club car is more your style?
Why we like it
The Turks & Caicos Islands are located on the migration path of the Atlantic humpback whales and seasonally they can be easily spotted passing just offshore from Amanyara’s beach. So, after breakfast or over evening cocktails, guests may witness one of these gorgeous creatures playing out the front, often with spotted and bottlenose dolphins. Up close encounters can be arranged either by boat or through snorkelling and scuba diving.
