The Canary

Inspired by the Canary Islands, the  Canary is a picture of Spanish and Moroccan culture and style. The beloved Finch and Fork Restaurant serves classic Santa Barbara dishes, inspired by the seaside location, whilst the crown-jewel rooftop pool offers stunning views over it. As the name may suggest, the hotel flawlessly joins the cultures of the Canary Islands with that of California, and the result is simply spectacular.

Located in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara and surrounded by shops, galleries and restaurants, you’ll never run out of things to do. Just around the block is the trendy State Street, sure to lead you wherever you want to go. How about the Urban Wine Trail? With its 20 downtown wineries, all that sightseeing can make for thirsty work.

why we like it

Rooftop pools are always exciting, and this one is no different. The pool at the Canary is the perfect spot to get some sun whilst spoiling you with a view to die for over the city. From the roof, you can see the nearby Channel Islands in one direction, and the Santa Ynez mountains in the other. When the night cools you off, sit by the fire and watch the sun set over the water. Bliss.
