With Colorado being a state so close to nature, it seems only fair that its hotels do their bit for the environment. The Viceroy Snowmass is a luxury Colorado hotel designed by the world renowned Jean-Michel Gathy, known for his attention to sustainability and eco consciousness. He has not compromised on style though, and has created a place in keeping with the polished elegance of Viceroy and the rugged earthiness of Colorado. The onsite restaurants are committed to providing seasonal locally sourced food and the Ute Indian inspired spa will keep you feeling as immersed in Colorado culture as possible.
Right in Snowmass village and only seven miles from downtown Aspen, the hotel’s location in the heart of the mountains provides an adventure playground all year round. In winter you are in prime spot for the slopes, so you easily can ski in and out of the resort. While in summer, the gondola still serves the area so you will find mountain biking and paragliding for the foolhardy, or more refined (but equally fun) music festivals, with delicious wine and craft brews.
All 173 rooms have a mountain view, cozy gas fireplaces and bright sundecks in varying sizes. They are equipped with hand-picked wall art and designer soft furnishings in keeping with the hotel’s commitment to Colorado’s way of life. Whether you’re staying in a 4 bedroom apartment or a studio room, you will not miss out on the personal touches the hotel provides.
Why we like it
Its commitment to being green is a very admirable trait for us here at Black Tomato. We like to see beautiful destinations being respected and looked after. Also, you can enjoy the outside culture of the mountain hideaway without feeling too remote, with Aspen so close by and Snowmass Village offering everything you could wish for in dining choices and high quality storeping. It’s the best of all worlds.
