Studying travel and tourism at college is one thing, but I’ve found that the world itself has taught me so much about what it means to travel. This goes right back to those early journeys to Europe with my family, but it’s something I continue to experience whenever I go out into nature with my two daughters. It’s something we do as often as we can.

I’ve always been led by my curiosity. Working at Black Tomato, I get to satisfy that curiosity every single day – much of it focusing on the trips that we plan and pull off for our travelers. I love looking at the ways we can bring their dreams to life.

'It truly came to life'

A closer look at the Maldives

Hanifaru Bay is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in Baa Atoll, in the Maldives. This is an impressive designation, but it truly came to life when I dipped into the water and snorkelled – pirouetting through a pulsing congregation of manta rays, floating past turtles, and spotting the distant flitting shapes of sharks. In my mind, it’s still as fresh as the moment it happened.
