Lešić Dimitri Palace, Korcula
Hidden within the walls of the charming medieval town of Korcula you’ll find the epitome of luxury – the Lešić Dimitri Palace. Built within the walls of a restored 18th Century bishop’s palace and a cluster of medieval cottages, the attention to detail is exceptional. Hole up in one of the five apartments here and discover the pleasures of this little island retreat from the renowned Michelin star food to the LD Spa to the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic. If, at the end of your trip, you find it hard to leave, we wouldn’t blame you.
Location
Set in the heart of Korcula’s old town and just on the water’s edge, Lešić Dimitri Palace is the perfect spot to head out and explore from. Right outside the door, you’ll find an endless street of local restaurants, and a little more exploration will uncover beautiful cafés and hidden shops down the winding alleys of this medieval town. Don’t be surprised to find yourself serenaded under a stone bridge by local warblers either.
Your room
As the building sits next door to the house of Marco Polo, each of the five residences are named and designed after one of the stops on Marco’s Silk Road travels- Venice, Arabia, India, Ceylon and China. Ranging from one to four bedrooms, every beautifully designed residence is unique in style and decor. After a day exploring the beauty of Croatia you will be transported yet again across the seas when you enter your room and marvel at its features such as the white-tented ceilings in the Arabia room and Oriental decorations in the China room.
