Nay Palad Hideaway
Nowhere does laid-back luxury quite like Nay Palad Hideaway. Tucked between some of the best surf-breaks and most secluded beaches in the Philippines, it makes for the perfect tropical getaway. Beautiful pathways meander through fragrant gardens filled with frangipani, rare orchids and spider lilies, whilst swaying palm trees shade peaceful hammocks and gentle seas lap against offshore pagodas. With a handful of just nine luxurious villas overlooking the Ocean, kick your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes as you step into an untouched paradise.
Location
Nestled between the palms of Siargao, a teardrop of an island in the Pacific Ocean, Nay Palad is just a plane hop away from Cebu International Airport and a quick 30-minute jungle-drive in the resort’s custom-built ‘jeepney’. Surfers will quite literally be on Cloud Nine here, as they take on this most famous of Filipino waves. Whilst for those of you who prefer remaining on dry land, this is a tropical sanctuary like no other, home to pristine beaches, exotic wildlife and hidden oases.
Your Room
Tucked away amid luscious tropical jungle, the nine villas of Nay Palad couldn’t be more private. But they couldn’t be more beautiful either. Floor-to-ceiling windows look out over shimmering ocean waters whilst locally handcrafted furnishings make for a match made in heaven between the traditional and the contemporary. Our standout feature has to be the bathrooms though; cavernous spaces centerd around statement rainfall showers, you’ll want to move in.
Why we like it
Dining at Nay Palad Hideaway is always a pleasure. Using fresh ingredients grown in the kitchen garden, the chefs here expertly fuse Filipino and Pan-Asian influences with international tastes to create an ever-enticing menu. It’s not just what you’re eating that’s exciting though, but where you’re eating it. From dinner in a private treehouse hideaway to breakfast in bed and a picnic lunch on an amphibious boat – you never know just where your meal will take you.
