The Philippines
Two Seasons Resort, Coron
A haven of luxury and pure nature, Two Seasons Resort Coron is a sanctuary for more than just the Filipino turtles that call it home. Here, surrounded by lush tropical gardens, bright and thriving reefs and South East Asia’s bluest waters, you will find profound and unwavering island bliss. This enchanting eco-friendly resort houses just 41 bungalows, making it the quintessential destination for a remote beach getaway. Attracting both the diver and the spa-goer, Two Seasons Resort will not disappoint.
Location
From Busuanga Airport, a quick 45-minute flight from Manila will take you into Coron Town, the largest village on the island. Coron Town is located roughly 15 miles from the resort, but we’d prefer you to arrive in style via a private boat on the crystalline waters. An hour and a half later, you’ll come to Two Seasons, sitting atop its remote peninsula, with a fairytale-esque sandbar leading to a private island.
Your Room
Each of the 41 high-ceilinged bungalows is authentically Filipino in style with spacious rain showers and unobstructed views of the limestone cliffs or teal sea. Bungalows are located seaside, poolside or within the resorts tropical gardens, yet each ensures ultimate comfort and tranquility. Both the Island Tip and Sandbar bungalows boast French doors that open up onto private outdoor jacuzzis, blended into the natural rocks. However, for proximity to the beach and serene sunset views, our vote has to go to the Sandbar bungalow.
Why we like it
Two Seasons is a 100% sustainable resort, as it’s located too far from Coron Town to receive power and water. This means that while preserving their natural environment, they are simultaneously running a luxurious resort entirely on their own. Our next favorite thing, you ask? The Hydrobob submersible scooters which allow non-divers to leisurely cruise around the local reefs. Two totally different but equally incredible attributes of this unique property.
