Just 12 kilometres from Kandy’s center, The Kandy House is ideally situated just far enough away for peace and quiet, but close enough to easily hit all of Kandy’s best sights. On the eastern hills of the spice estate, you are within walking distance from small rural villages and ancient cave temples, and it’s only a short trip to all of Kandy’s highlights such as the breathtaking botanical gardens with colossal trees and huge orchid collections.

Each of the nine amazing bedrooms takes their name from a variety of Kandyan butterfly, such as the Monkey Puzzle and the Cornelian. No matter which room you stay in, you can collapse into your huge four poster bed draped in mosquito netting and surrounded by plenty of colonial Sri Lankan touches with drapes of silk and cotton. We absolutely love the floor to ceiling windows overlooking The Kandy House’s great courtyard and gardens.
