Six Senses Yao Noi
Nestled in the picturesque hills of Koh Yao Noi and overlooking the emerald green waters of Phang Nga Bay is the enchanting Six Senses Yao Noi. Built with natural materials in a modern style, all 56 villas are both sustainable and luxurious – think outdoors showers, private pools, and breath-taking views. Embracing its remote location, it’s here you can explore uncharted reefs and mangroves, or instead opt for kayaking and hiking.
Location
On the western edge of Koh Yao Noi island, the Six Senses is a 65 minute journey from Phuket International Airport and Krabi Airport. Your car and boat transfers will all be arranged, so all you’ll need to worry about is getting off the plane. For an added dash of luxury, we can organize for you to drop in by helicopter so you’ll get to see all the gorgeous scenery from above as you zip over to the island. Before you do anything else, we recommend taking full advantage of the spa, with its traditional Thai healing practices to ensure your senses are balanced. The adventurous will know that this is the perfect area for water sports. There are fantastic diving spots dotted around the island, or if you prefer, snorkelling. For those who prefer to stay above water, enjoy the breathtaking seascapes as you kayak through mangroves or hop between the islands by longtail boat.
Your room
The 56 villas of the Six Senses boast stunning mountain or sea views. You’ll have all the creature comforts with some special added touches, like the outside shower, which is great for rinsing off after a day in your private infinity pool. It’s difficult to choose a favorite, but the Ocean Panorama Pool Villa provides the most superb views right across the bay or if you’d prefer to be as close to the beach as possible, go for the Beach Front Pool Villa. All the villas are beautiful and elegantly furnished; you really couldn’t ask for more.
Why we like it
For the Six Senses sustainability is incredibly important, and that’s what makes us love it more. With a focus on energy efficiency, using local suppliers and protecting the natural surroundings, you’ll actually be doing good by coming here. And the hotel’s farm-to-table initiative has led to the introduction of organic gardens, mushroom farms and poultry and goat farms on the property.
SUSTAINABILITY
Six Senses Yao Noi places strong focus on environmental and social impact. One of their inspiring initiatives is water filtration system, which also supplies 10,000 local community members with clean water. Homemade fertilizers, oils and sprays are used to help protect the environment and wildlife. Meanwhile, conservation efforts are in place to protect the Hornbill bird by creating safe habitats.
