After three long months of searching, we’ve finally found our Every Cloud Reporter.

Let the search for silver linings begin.

We’re delighted to introduce New York-based video producer Noah Posnick as our first-ever Every Cloud Reporter; an honour he deservedly won after we launched our groundbreaking competition at the end of 2019. Over the coming twelve months, Noah will set out on a series of truly eye-opening journeys to some of the world’s most thrilling and beautiful destinations. His job? To search for stories of hope and happiness in an often gloomy world – and to report back to us with what he finds. We can’t wait to get stuck into the stories he’ll be collecting from some of the farthest corners of the globe.

You’ll be able to keep up with Noah’s progress via our social media channels and the Inspirations section of our site. Details on his initial assignment are soon to come.

Here’s a reminder of Noah’s entry: a beautifully composed photo which captures a moment of deep tranquillity after he had travelled—confronting illness, an empty stomach, and testy room complications—through the sweltering, noisy heart of Bangkok. As he explains:

“At the top of an infinite staircase, I caught a glimpse of a brilliant saffron robe. Standing in stillness among twisted trees was a lone man, a monk, looking out onto his world with a gentle smile. I watched him in stillness, mesmerized, and took what felt like my first breath in a very long time.”

Black Tomato co-founder Tom Marchant explains what it was about Noah’s entry that really caught our attention: “This was Noah’s silver lining—his moment of unadulterated joy—amidst the relentless pressures of the modern world. Unscripted, unexpected, the image – and his compelling caption – perfectly captured our desire to show that, when we look closely, the world is filled with moments of deep satisfaction and pure happiness.”

You’ll be hearing more from us, and Noah, over the coming weeks, including information on his first assignment as our Every Cloud Reporter. Thank you to everyone who entered and shared their silver linings with us, and here’s to the year ahead.
