Our Guide to Thailand

With its vibrant culture, glistening coast lines and stunning landscapes, Thailand has, for years, been a top choice for those on the hunt for the perfect luxury holiday, and its hard not to see why. If you want delicious cuisine, fascinating history, incredible jungle and some of the best beaches in the world, Thailand should be your destination of choice.

At a glance

Relax on white sand beaches and paddle in azure waters, haggle in the bustling markets, trek through verdant green hills and jungles and party in the buzzing capital of Bangkok. With people that give the warmest welcmes imaginable and produce some of the world’s most mouth-watering street food, Thailand serves up luxurious delight after delight whether you are beach bound or heading for the hills. So however you choose to spend your holiday, you can rest assured that you’re in for the trip of a lifetime.

What to see

Thailand’s islands are undeniably some of the most beautiful in the world and should be at the top of any travel bucket list. Yes, one or two are infamous for raucous full-moon parties (still fun to try for an evening escapade), but there still remains a multitude of pristine coves that lie hidden away from the crowds and are perfect for ultimate relaxation. The towering cliff rock islands found in the bays of Krabi, Koh Phi Phi and Phuket, made famous in the James Bond classic, The Man with the Golden Gun, are an iconic backdrop that’s a must see on any tour of Thailand, and the unrivalled beauty of some of Koh Samui’s beach hideaways really have to be seen to be believed.

A part of Thailand we have really fallen for lies within the ‘Golden Triangle’ of Thailand’s Northern Province. To get there you can take a luxurious train ride up to the verdant green of Chang Mai’s lush hillsides and catch a glimpse of what true Thai life looks like; and when you arrive, be sure to roam the forests on the back of an elephant and get under the skin of the area’s remote hill tribes. These stunning experiences really are worth their weight in a thousand pristine beaches.

Another of our favourite spots within the Northern Province is Chiang Rai. With its glorious temples – one white, one black – you’ll feel yourself looking on in awe as you gaze upon these magnificent vestiges of history.

Why we love it

Mixing city, jungle, mountain and beach; it’s true that anything is possible in Thailand, and never has the saying ‘there’s something for everyone’ been more relevant. Oh, and let’s not forget – Thailand is the home of that mouth-watering dish Pad Thai (always served with a smile), mind blowing Thai massages, and some of the most extravagant hotels in the world – need we say more? We don’t think so.
