Amankora Paro
The first Aman resort established in Bhutan, Amankora provides the perfect escape from everyday life. Leave your troubles at home and prepare for a relaxing break where you can unwind and reflect. The sleek modern take on cultural Bhutanese style is a welcome haven in the midst of the Paro Valley high up in the Eastern Himalayas. Take your pick from one of the 24 suites, breathe in the crisp fresh air and soak up the spectacular surrounding scenery.
Location
Near to the Balakhan village, Amankora is only a short 30 minute transfer from the local airport (Paro). At 2,250 meters above sea level the air could not be any fresher, take in a deep breath and we know you’ll be instantly relaxed. Close by is the 17th century Drunkyel Dzong where you can look up to the snow top peaks of the Jhomolhain and beyond.
Your Room
Each of the 24 great suites feature a traditional bukhari (wood burning stove) so you can cozy up after a long day of exploring. The combined lounge and bedroom contrasts the rustic elements with contemporary design, creating a spacious sanctuary with king sized beds and all the modern amenities. Gaze out down the valley and admire the view while you take a soak in your terrazzo clad bathtub.
