Botswana
Tuludi, Okavango Delta
Taking its name from the Tswana word describing a leopard’s colors or markings, Tuludi Camp makes for a fantastic base from which to discover the pristine wilderness of Khwai Private Reserve. From sprawling savannas and leafy forests to the lagoons and waterways of the Okavango Delta, the reserve is home to an abundance of ecosystems and a wealth of wildlife. Choose to explore the varied landscapes by foot, boat, mokoro (traditional canoe) or game drive, and open your eyes to views like no other. Boasting just 7 treehouse style rooms, this small and exclusive camp is owned and run by Natural Selection, guaranteeing exceptional service and top level guiding.
LOCATION
Situated in the secluded northern reaches of Botswana’s Okavango Delta, Tuludi is accessed from Banoka airstrip – just a quick 15 minute drive from the camp. 200,000 hectares in size, Khwai Private Reserve gifts you the luxury of space and seclusion. Thanks to its prime position between the Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park, a natural corridor has been created for the through-flow of magnificent wildlife.
YOUR ROOM
Connected by elevated wooden walkways, Tuludi’s 7 treehouse style rooms, including one two-bedroom family room, sit beneath the canopies of ancient leadwood trees. Already impressive in size, canvas tented roofs enhance the space further and help bring to life those all-important views across the Delta. Styled with a mix of contemporary and classic furnishings, earthy tones are contrasted by colorful prints and beautifully handcrafted art work. Large private verandas complete with plunge pools, sunken seating areas and hanging chairs make perfect spaces for kicking back after a morning game drive or mokoro adventure. For something extra special, we recommend booking a sleep out at their Sky Suite to truly experience the romance of Tuludi. Spend a night cozied up under a blanket of a billion stars, surrounded by uninterrupted wilderness, and listening to the sound of the open bush.
