Location
A quick 30-minute flight from Maun will take you to Gomoti. It is on the edge of the Gomoti river system in a seldom-visited area of Botswana’s Okavango Delta. A wetland in the heart of the Kalahari Desert the Okavango Delta is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been described as ‘Africa’s Last Eden’ and it makes for a unique safari experience. Thanks to Gomoti’s secluded location staying here means you can have the delta’s wildlife almost entirely to yourself.
Your room
The ten luxury tents consist of two family units and eight double rooms. They are all on raised wood decking which allow you greater views of the beautiful Gomoti river system whilst still remaining in the heart of the action. They are decorated in a classic safari style and designed to complement the Okavango Delta’s meeting of water and land. These are not your ordinary tents as they are decked out with comfortable double beds, hot and cold water, indoor and outdoor showers and his and her basins. You will feel completely immersed in the African plains as you look out over acacia trees and luscious green grass and let the songs of the water birds send you to sleep at night.
