Location

We love the remoteness of Hotel Florblanca. Yet, at the same time, it remains just a stone’s throw from Santa Teresa; a small but lively surf town that is yet to feel the force of commercial tourism, demonstrated by the fact chickens still wander around in the road. Expect excellent waves during the day and a buzzing Latin American culture ready to come alive after sunset.

Soothing interiors are complemented by ochre, dark green and deep red furnishings in each of the suites at Florblanca. Open-fronted living areas and an outside bathroom will mean you’re truly immersed in your rainforest surroundings with a howler monkey’s distant call included. The Surf House meanwhile sees you sat right on the beach, with a surfboard ready to face the rolling waves outside your front door. Why we like it

Iguanas, howler monkeys and migrating whales frequently pass by the hotel, illustrating just how close to nature you really are. Picnics and horseback rides along the beach are perfect for those seeking solace whilst game fishing and surfing opportunities are ready and waiting for those seeking thrills.
