The pace is genuinely unhurried – built around slow breakfasts, long afternoons by the pool, and sundowners at the Aloni Sunset Lounge. Come evening, Pere Ubu serves genuine Cycladic cuisine in the hotel’s fine-dining setting, while Kuveda, a newer kafenio-inspired taverna, leans into casual mezze and easy conversation. Wellness runs through the stay, too – yoga, meditation, sound-based sessions, and spa treatments overlooking the Aegean. Most guests leave wishing they’d booked for longer.

Kalesma takes its responsibility to the island seriously. The hotel operates entirely free of single-use plastics, replacing individually packaged toiletries with refillable dispensers and using eco-friendly cleaning products throughout. The kitchen leans on regional produce and locally sourced ingredients across all dining, with a firm commitment to minimizing food waste.
