The Dolli, Athens
THE DOLLI is a beautifully restored neoclassical 1925 mansion in the heart of Athens. Here, you’ll relax in classical splendour as you breathe in enchanting views of the nearby Acropolis from your private Juliette balcony – or the hotel’s exquisite rooftop restaurant. With ornate arches, high ceilings, and traditional motifs, you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped back in time the moment you cross this boutique hotel’s threshold.
LOCATION
Just a quick 45-minute drive from Athens International Airport, THE DOLLI is located in the heart of Greece’s ancient capital. Situated in the historical Plaka neighborhood, and a stone’s throw away from the Parthenon (just look up), you’ll be perfectly placed to explore the city’s iconic sites such as the Acropolis Museum, Monastiraki square, and of course, the Acropolis itself. Here, everything (ancient wonders included) is at your fingertips.
YOUR ROOM
THE DOLLI’s spacious rooms are bathed in natural light and offer mesmerising views of the Acropolis above. Capturing the flair of an elegant private mansion, rooms are decorated with natural fabrics, marble bathrooms fitted with walk-in rain showers, king-size beds, wooden features, and classical-inspired touches.
WHY WE LIKE IT
Besides its striking location, THE DOLLI also offers a variety of elegant and intimate spaces to unwind. Here you can sip on fresh coffee as you admire the hotel’s collection of original art by Pablo Picasso and Jean Cocteau in Le Salon, or you can discover rare books and the finest spirits at the tucked-away Le Bar Secret (the hotel’s hidden library-bar). And then there’s THE DOLLI’s ‘pièce de résistance’: a gourmet rooftop restaurant offering breathtaking views of the Parthenon and the surrounding Plaka neighborhood.
SUSTAINABILITY
THE DOLLI is the result of a five-year restoration and renovation project, transforming the historic Kallimasiotis Mansion into an exceptional Hôtel Maison with preserved ancient Macedonian emblems and ceiling motifs. The hotel also features a heat-recovery system and timed air conditioning as well as using waste management, recycling, and organic gardening initiatives.
