New Hotel, Athens
New Hotel takes inspiration from classic Athens style and completely refashions it for the modern-day, creating an innovative and imaginative hotel that will completely change how you look at Greek interiors. Interior design brothers Humberto and Fernando Campana, are known for their ability to create masterpieces from cast-offs and reclaimed material and have brought this known and celebrated aesthetic to the 77 rooms of New Hotel, ingeniously creating a hotel the likes of which you will not find anywhere else. New Hotel is an excellent place to stay for a bustling, non-stop city break, ideally located so you will experience the best the city has to offer with ease.
LOCATION
Just a half-hour drive from Athens International Airport, New Hotel is right in the heart of the city, surrounded by both the ancient and modern world. You will not be able to escape the extraordinary atmosphere of this city, with the resort being the perfect gateway to enjoy all the surroundings have to offer. From the cultural museums, galleries and walks interspersed with delicious, authentic street food to plenty of energetic bars and restaurants for the evening.
YOUR ROOM
Underneath the Campana brothers’ creative and adventurous eye the rooms have been transformed into pieces of art, each following three carefully chosen themes celebrating Athens. Whether it’s the ‘evil eye’ bead guarding against any bad omens befalling your vacation, the Greek folklore characters of Karagiozis galloping and running around the room, or the historic postcards showing a snapshot into ancient Athens, each room is perfectly designed. Alongside these remarkable art pieces are the comforts that make any successful hotel bedroom including a huge comforting bed, a luxurious bathroom and double glazed French doors leading you onto the balcony.
WHY WE LIKE IT
Providing guests with something imaginative and fresh, the Campana brothers’ interior design really makes the hotel stand out as both original and avant-garde as well as beautiful and welcoming. From the restaurant columns covered in intricately pieced wooden furniture taken from the original hotel to the handmade fixtures, every element has been exquisitely thought out.
