The Colony

Built in 1947, The Colony is one of the region’s best known boutique hotels. Decorated according to classic tastes, the interiors feature mostly cream and yellow tones with large fireplaces and antique leather armchairs. Famous for their cabaret shows and live music nights, the lounge bar here is a firm favorite amongst locals. Dine on top notch seafood and steaks whilst watching a wide variety of performers, from Jazz quartets to Broadway crooners.

Location

Just round the corner from Worth Avenue, many of the ladies who lunch here stop off for some retail therapy on route. A short walk down the road and you’re at one of the Island’s best beaches. Backed by a fair few millionaire mansions, this expansive stretch of sand is one of the most exclusive spots in town.

Your room

Infused with a British West Indies feel, the rooms here are simple and elegantly furnished with pastel color palettes, tropical inspired curtains and heavy mahogany furniture. Comfy king size beds are covered with pillow top mattresses and crisp white sheets, whilst walk-in closets provide ample space for all your new purchases. Bursting with charm and personality, The Colony is one of the most welcoming hotels on the island and treats each guest like a friend as opposed to a customer. Spend your days soaking up the sun on a pool lounger, Mai Tai in hand, or dancing to Motown until the early hours of the morning. Come night time enjoy a fantastic dinner out on the pool terrace and make sure to leave room for desert – they do a mean crepe suzette, flambéed to order in front of your table.
