This was our first experience with Black Tomato, and it truly exceeded our expectations. As a busy family who loves to travel but often lacks the time to plan, having every detail thoughtfully handled for us was a game changer. No guesswork, no stress—just the freedom to immerse ourselves in the beauty of Iceland. From meals to lodging, driving to daily activities, everything was seamless. It allowed us to simply be present and enjoy each moment together as a family.

It was lightly scary because we basically travelled to the other side of the world with a child, but the level of the services provided by Black Tomato and by the local guides and companies, was so good that we never felt insecure for a single moment.

A dream come true. Rob not only listened to all our wishes for our Morocco trip, he actually made them come true. We explored the craziness of the souks, met with artisanal masters to learn metal working and perfume making. Enjoyed an expert shopper who took us through the mazes of the medina and even had a private cooking class in a Riad with two of the loviest women after our savvy guide took us shopping for all our ingredients. The best trip ever… from small Riads to a mountain fortress and a desert oasis- Black Tomato delivered.

We just had the most incredible trip to Chile thanks to Black Tomato. We hit the Atacama desert, Valparaiso, Chiloe, Patagonia, Easter Island, Santiago and the wine country. The trip was flawless, expertly crafted and everything went incredibly well. The lodges we selected were amazing. This was truly an epic trip and one of the best I’ve ever taken and I’ve done a lot of travelling. This was not my first travel with Black Tomato and they continued to craft and deliver a truly outstanding trip.

We couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect honeymoon. From the moment we connected with Black Tomato, Christie created the perfect safari experience in Zimbabwe for us. It was organised down to the last detail, from the moment we arrived in Johannesburg for our connecting flight to Zimbabwe to the last day of the honeymoon in Victoria Falls. We went to four lodges in Zimbabwe, each was unique but the service across the board was exceptional.

It was the trip of a lifetime which we will never forget, and is definitely the first of many trips we will book through Black Tomato.

This was our first, but not last trip with Black Tomato. Our trip throughout Mexico allowed us to learn about the country’s rich historical, archeological, artistic, culinary, and geographic treasures. They ensured we had superb, yet intimate hotel accommodations, paired us with professional and engaging guides as well as a drivers, selected in depth and thrilling tours, and assisted with reservations at amazing restaurants. After 24 days, we left Mexico changed by the wonders we saw in the country and longing to return to discover more of this marvelous land!

Black Tomato is the best travel service I have ever worked with and I have been around the world! My trip to Cuba was perfectly curated to include exactly the types of activities my husband and I are interested in. Rob not only took the time to “interview” me on our hopes for the trip but then iterated the trip several times through emails to hit just the right cadence and variety. We spent private time with dancers, artists, and musicians in addition to experiencing wonderful walking tours and hikes. The selection of boutique hotels and top level restaurants was spot on. My husband and I used Black Tomato for our honeymoon, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision! Our favourite part of the trip was the activities Luca coordinated for us, as we would have never found them on our own. We toured a lemon grove and made limoncello in Amalfi, went truffle hunting in the Tuscan countryside, toured wineries in Tuscany, had an amazing private cooking class in Florence, and took a private boat to Capri for a tour around the island. Everything was flawlessly organised and so easy for us, so we could just sit back and ENJOY our honeymoon without worrying about logistics. We will absolutely use Black Tomato again in the future!

Black Tomato organised an incredible trip to Iceland for my husband and I. Was genuinely the best holiday we have taken. Attention to detail in the planning process was so good (for two people that usually plan every detail of their own trips) and we LOVED that they found some brilliant ways to surprise us on the trip. The secret experience arranged to see the inside of the dormant volcano is something we will never forget as well as the helicopter ride to explore the interior of the north of the island. From the guides to the hotel recommendations and little service touches – it was all perfect.

The most incredible trip ever! For our honeymoon we were seeking something a little adventurous teamed with animal spotting and time on a beach. Black Tomato showed their expertise, suggesting Borneo – a place we’d never have thought of and reeling us in with an exceptional itinerary. As well as being an utter joy to work with there were other little touches, I still wax lyrical about. Thank you, Black Tomato, for helping us plan the most exceptional of honeymoons – cannot recommend you enough!

Alys, from Black Tomato, arranged such an amazing trip for our family. Everything worked like clockwork and we felt so cared for and looked after. The experiences Alys planned for us were all unforgettable and fun. We will never forget the bike ride thru Chianti and our visit to the olive oil farm / vineyard in Tuscany. All of the guides we met were warm and friendly and made our time in Italy so enriching and memorable. And the accommodations were perfectly located and very comfortable.

Black Tomato helped us plan the custom trip of our dreams in Madagascar! They navigated all the on-the-ground logistics, which meant that we had a seamless trip exploring a country with one of the most stunning biodiverse ecosystems in the world.

If you truly want a holiday that is hassle free and go to places you would never find, Use Black Tomato! It was truly a trip of a lifetime. Black Tomato arranged everything. They set up the boat tours on Lakes Como and Orta, hikes in the surrounding mountains, several wine and cheese tastings (the tasting in La Morra was done by the owner!) We truffle hunted in the Alba area, spent 3 days on the Italian riviera, and they even arranged for me to drive a vintage Alfa Romero for a day of touring. Truly a first class outfit, and highly recommended.
