Relaxing days and late nights in Cartagena

It’s our favourite day of the week again, and we’re pretty sure most of you will be heading out for a few after work drinks to see in the weekend. Why not? London. New York. LA. They’ve all got their fair share of unique bars and weekend hot spots that will keep you entertained. But there’s something about Latin America’s party scene that nowhere can quite beat. It’s the atmosphere and exotic setting, the sounds and the dancing. Unfortunately, the choices we’ve got back home seem to pale in comparison every time we think of one place in particular: Colombia. We’ll never get tired of it, and Colombia’s Café del Mar is one place we’ll keep going back to, time and time again.

Nestled on a slice of Cartagena’s coastline, this outdoor bar provides atmospheric Colombian bliss. Take a seat on the wicker chairs furnished with vibrant cushions and sip an ice cold cocktail whilst watching the Caribbean Sea lap the golden sands. By day, relax to the sound of chilled beats with the temperate breeze cooling you and by night, feel the ambience ramp up a gear or two. Bright lights and Salsa rhythms pulse through the decking as it transforms into an energetic dance floor. Fire dances and fireworks are just a few of the things you can expect to witness until the bar shuts its doors at dawn. It’s the sort of thing that just can’t be recreated anywhere else. I guess we’ll all just have to fly to Colombia then.
