Grenada
LaLuna
LaLuna, designed by Giorgio Armani’s villa interior designer, combines the chic rustic style of a tropical getaway with designer luxury. Its tiki wooden floors, thatched coverings and chunky furniture give you that barefoot bohemian feel. You can exercise body and mind at their beachside yoga pavilion, or be totally pampered at the Balinese inspired spa. Whatever your choice of activity, you will have no doubt you are submerged in the castaway vibe of an exotic island.
Location
Situated in the hillside overlooking its own bay and just a short amble from Morne Rouge beach, this beach bolthole ensures spectacular views and utter privacy. Steps away from the beach and just 10 minutes from the airport, you can be out of your travel clothes and in your swimwear in no time.
Your room
The rooms are all open plan style and boast unique open air bathrooms making you feel even closer to nature. The furthest away you could be from the beach is 60 steps in any of the cottages, but as those are higher on the hillside they enjoy the most dramatic views of the Caribbean Sea. Your room opens onto a veranda with your own private plunge pool to cool off in after a day basking in the Caribbean sun.
Why we like it
Its designer luxe style ensconced in the natural beauty of the Grenadian hillside is the perfect situation for a total escape from all things nine to five. If you like to get out and about you can explore the island on one of the more unusual excursions such as fishing trips with the chef, rainforest hikes and Fish Fridays with the locals, but this secluded retreat has everything you need for a blissfully lazy getaway.
