The soundtrack to a stay at The Caves – Pretty Girl by Delroy Wilson
If you’re looking for something a little more off the beaten track in Jamaica, check in to The Caves. Teetering over the Ocean front, under water wonders are moments away, making it a diver’s paradise. This part of the island takes you right back to the authentic roots of this Jamaica with its untouched beauty.
Perched on the west of Jamaica in Negril Bay, just 90 minutes from the airport, The Caves is set in an area that boasts endless unexplored beauty. On the doorstep of the iconic Seven Mile Beach, you will find the hotel nestled amid fossilised limestone cliffs, with infinite ocean vistas.
Made up of 12 individual cliff top villas, the Caves are a perfect blend of luxury with Jamaica’s rustic charm. Each villa is a blue-washed, wooden structure with palm thatching; inside you’ll find ocean-inspired décor that has been designed as a calming, pastel paradise. We fell in love with the lavender painted Stardust cottage, which was bursting with hand woven rugs, cushions, authentic literature and shabby chic furniture. Oh, and a picture perfect ocean front balcony. Those looking for romance, check into Love Birds villa and enjoy the airy vaulted ceilings and tropical flowers weaving through the wooden shutters.
Why we like
We’re about to reveal Jamaica’s best kept secret. Hidden in The Caves’ limestone cliffs is the enchanting Blackwell Rum Bar. Guided by candle light after dark, wander into the enchanting cave where you’ll discover a fully stocked bar carved into the rocks. Enjoy and after dinner cocktail (we recommend the signature Cliff Hanger) in this charming spot; it’s the perfect way to end each day.
