Playa del Carmen is just a short drive from the international airport of Cancun, set on Mexico’s sandy eastern shores. La Semilla is the perfect mix between the hip Calle 38 (its neighbour is the famous La Cueva del Chango restaurant) and the surrounding jungle- so get out exploring and adventure around a Mayan ruin.

With only nine rooms to choose from, each has its own quirky style with organic forms and simple design that reflects a sense of Mexican history and heritage. La Semilla is Playa Del Carmen’s hidden gem of tranquillity amongst the tropical heat, a firm Black Tomato favourite is the ‘Cocina Loft’, they serve a healthy and happy breakfast experience, think freshly squeezed juices and delicious pastries which makes you feel as if you were eating in a friend’s house. After satisfying those taste buds head up to the rooftop terrace to catch some rays- take a deep breath and look around at the panoramic views of the jungle and Caribbean (yes we know it’s hard to believe but you really are in paradise).
