We’ve put together a truly unique nine-night safari adventure to Namibia, one of the most naturally stunning parts of Africa. Travel the country in search of the most elusive and fascinating animals in the world (think Africa’s giants – elephants, rhinos, giraffes) as you enjoy guided 4×4 drives across magnificent sand dunes, visits to World Heritage Sites and nature walks along breath-taking wildlife trails as you explore every corner of the untouched landscapes. When it comes to resting your head, your stay here includes some of the finest luxury accommodation available. Everything is taken care of – all you have to worry about is charging your camera.

Sleep under the stars

Namibia contains a hugely diverse range of scenery, so it’s no surprise that the activities on offer here are virtually endless. After a day exploring the capital of Windhoek and its vibrant colonial history, you’ll head out into the wilderness to Little Kulala Lodge. Here, you’ll be able to take advantage of the camp’s private entrance to Namib Naukluft National Park and catch some truly incredible glimpses of wildlife in their natural habitat; the park’s vast terrain is home to zebra, leopard, ostrich and hundreds of species of bird among others.

Start Planning

If its striking desert landscapes you’re after, guided 4×4 morning drives into the dunes include visits to the famous Sossusvlei and Deadvlei clay pans and Sundowner drives are also available on the nature reserve to catch sight of those beautiful sunsets. After your busy day, return to your luxurious accommodation to relax on your private veranda; these little thatched “kulalas” offer the perfect place to rest your head, as you head up onto the roof to sleep directly under the vast sky and its many stars – a very fitting view to match your isolated location. For the early risers, early morning balloon flights from Little Kulala Lodge provide an awe-inspiring perspective of the surrounding Namib Desert and the Wilderness Reserve.

Off Grid

Next stop is Damaraland Camp in the Huab River Valley, famed as Namibia’s most pristine wilderness area with awe-inspiring landscapes to show you the true meaning of the word ‘remote’. An award-winning, eco-friendly lodge, Damaraland Camp offers a world of activities alongside its luxury accommodation and breathtaking views. Get to grips with the terrain on a mountain bike, or visit collections of ancient rock engravings at Namibia’s first World Heritage Site before a traditional Boma dinner and local entertainment from the ever attentive staff. Damaraland is one of the few places on earth where you might encounter the desert-adapted elephant alongside cheetah, brown hyena and the near-extinct black rhino, so nature drives and walks drives are the order of the day here with the area regarded as one of Africa’s top wilderness locations.

Get up close with nature

Spend your remaining three nights at Ongava Tented Camp, perfectly located on the boundary of Etosha National Park and built with a view of the waterhole just metres from the camp’s open lobby, unique and exciting wildlife-spotting opportunities are a regular occurrence for guests; lions and elephants are among the many frequent visitors to this spot. Take a guided walk or a 4×4 game drive on Ongava’s private reserve before a refreshing dip in the camp’s swimming pool, a Namibian feast and drinks around the fire before retiring to your luxury en-suite accommodation. It’s easy to see why this is one of Namibia’s most sought-after retreats. End your trip with a private transfer back to the airport, taking one last opportunity to gaze at the inspiring horizons that really set this country apart from other safari destinations.

For those on the hunt for an authentic safari experience, we think you’ll agree this is the perfect place for your unforgettable African adventure.
