From Dallas to Austin and out to a working cowboy ranch, these are our handpicked Texas highlights…
Dallas
Arriving in Dallas, we’ll immerse you in arts, culture and incredible cuisine. You’ll be staying at the stylish and centrally located Hotel ZaZa, where you can drop off your bags in your luxury suite on arrival before freshening up to ready yourself for two days of Texan exploration. Only a stone’s throw from the city’s arts district, head over to the Dallas Museum of Art to explore the innovative exhibits and extensive art collection before continuing to the Nasher Sculpture Center. This urban retreat has 300 sculptures by Raymond and Patsy Nasher which seek to blur the lines between nature and sculptural art.

Start PlanningTomorrow, pay a visit to The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. Here you’ll gain an interesting insight into the life and legacy of President John F Kennedy as you wander around, browsing the wealth of documents and artefacts surrounding his assassination. After that, it’s time to enjoy an aerial view over this great city as you head to NYLO hotel’s rooftop bar for a few drinks. With mesmerising views over the cityscape and some top-class cocktails to hand, you’ll never want to leave.
A Texan Roadtrip
From Dallas, jump in your classic Mustang and set your route to Austin, where you’ll be staying for three nights at the Commodore Perry Estate. Austin is the creative hub of Texas, with a huge array of music venues, boutiques and trendy districts waiting to be explored. 6th Street is your one-stop spot for quite literally any food, drink and music lover, but it’s also home to some of Austin’s best art galleries. From the impressive fine art exhibits at Russell Collection to Austin Art Garage, you’re sure to find something to your taste. Next, head outside the box and visit the Cathedral of Junk, made by ‘yardist’ Vince Hannemann who has laboured over this spectacle for over 25 years. Contrast this with the Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum, an interesting and beautiful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Ranch Retreat
Your last stop takes the form of Wildcatter Ranch and two nights of cowboy living. Basking in 1500 acres of unspoilt lands, Wildcatter calls all those in favour of living a Western dream. You can do as much or as little as you want here, from action-packed days out canoeing, shooting or even trying your hand at archery, to simply sitting back and drinking in the landscapes. Come night time head over to the Ranch restaurant where you’ll be served some of the finest steaks in Texas along with top quality local wines. The perfect place to discover your inner cowboy, Wildcatter Ranch offers a rare window into the old ways of the land whilst also retaining that all-important element of luxury and comfort. We couldn’t think of a better way for you to round off your Texan adventure.
