Gangtey Lodge

The 12 guest rooms are all styled around traditional Bhutanese rural architecture, but with just a glance across the valley and a breath of crisp mountain air, you shall soon unwind with spectacular views at every turn.

Location

Overlooking the Gangtey Valley, with views stretching from the Bhutanese pine forests to the 17th Century Gangtey Monastery, the 6-hour drive from the nearest airport in Paro is well worth the journey. The Lodge provides the perfect base for full or half day adventures, or just to simply relax and recharge in your own tranquil piece of heaven.

Your Room

With interiors by award-winning designer Mary Lou Thomson, each of the twelve guest rooms reflect the traditional Bhutanese culture, with individual cosy fireplaces and rich tones creating a perfect balance between spacious and inviting. All guest rooms include the modern necessities and don’t forget to take a bubble bath while you look out over the panoramic views down the valley.

Start your day with a gentle hike up to the meditation cliff where you’ll be treated to 360-degree views of the Gangtey Valley with the snowcapped peaks of the Himalayas in the distance. It’s here that breakfast will be served, in total serenity. Returning back to the lodge via the Shedra monk college, you know today will be a good day.
