Kalahari Plains Camp, Central Kalahari

Some of the best summer wildlife viewing can be done at Kalahari Plains Camp – think black-maned lions and cheetah, to name a couple. With rooms that embody local art and traditions, this eco-conscious camp is the place to be to immerse yourself in Botswanan culture.

Location

The camp is found in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, towards the centre of the country. This reserve is the largest in Botswana and plays host to extensive views of the immense pan.

Your room

Rooms pay homage to local culture with tribal art and prints adorning them. Each has a screened but open wall to survey the masterful landscape outside, and no expense is spared to ensure the utmost comfort.

Why we like it

We love the Bushman Walk that this camp offers. Led by camp staff, descendants of the San Bushman clans, here you have the opportunity to learn the traditions and lifestyles of the local tribes.
