Bartlett Lodge
Nestled between Georgia Bay and the Ottawa River, Bartlett Lodge is a charming little hideaway surrounded by the dense forests of the Algonquin Park. Explore the wilderness by day and rest your head at night in an authentic American Log cabin and enjoy the peace and quiet of this cosy forest retreat.
Location
Situated on Cache Lake in Algonquin Park, this lodge is a popular choice because of its inviting atmosphere, but also as a result of its close proximity to the urban cities of Toronto and Ottawa. Just a short drive from either city and you’ll find yourself immersed in the park, exploring the natural world through a variety of outdoor activities such as fishing, kayaking, and even skiing in the winter.
Your room
Stay in either the cabins and cottages or artist studio suite and experience the charm of an authentic log cabin. From the 130 year old logs which make up the cottages, to the scattered antique and wood stoves available in several cabins, these rooms take charm to a whole new level. However be warned, don’t expect televisions or radios as all lodges were designed with one thing in mind – nature. If you really want to take advantage of the wilderness and totally immerse yourself in your natural surroundings, choose the tent option…and don’t worry, when we say tent we actually mean a luxurious platform tent with a king size bed, fresh linens and private bathroom. Beats a roll-mat any day.
Why we like it
An array of top quality contemporary cuisine was what initially tickled our fancy, but the fact that you can only reach the dining room by motorised kayak…amazing.
