The Wickaninnish Inn

Perched on a dramatic landscape overlooking the wild Pacific Ocean and backed by luscious forest, this little hotel makes a big impression. The Wickaninnish Inn redefines relaxed elegance with its attention to the finer details in life (a handwritten card with the updated weather delivered to your door every day is a perfect example) and elements of grand design such as the spectacular floor-to-ceiling windows, available as standard in all 75 rooms.  Primarily constructed from cedar, stone and glass, this hotel has a rustic feel about it which blends perfectly with its surroundings fusing the glamorous with the rugged.

Located in the little town of Tofino on Vancouver Island, the Inn occupies a remote edge of British Columbia. A flight from Vancouver will take you approximately 45 minutes, however to really make the most of the jaw-dropping scenery, rent a car and navigate the roads to Tofino to enjoy one of the most picturesque drives in Canada. Pass through the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve and observe old-growth cedars followed by vast wilderness in Sutton Pass.

Your room

All the rooms at The Wickaninnish Inn are designed to impress and with the private balconies, individual fireplaces and jaw-dropping views, we can safely say: Mission accomplished. However for a touch of decadence, book into one of their lavish suites where canopy beds, double fireplaces, and incredible vistas will leave you lost for words.

Why we like it

Aside from the glamour and breathtaking views, the natural elements here have a large part to play in our love for this beautiful boutique property.  Book yourself in during the stormy season (February and March) to watch Mother Nature put on a show, with gale force winds, ten-foot breakers and pounding surf demonstrating the drama of the wilderness. Cosy-up by the fire and do as nature intended – relax.
