Start Planning

A Myriad of Colours

After a relaxing day at the tranquil Lodge Chacabuco in Patagonia Park, you will wake early to embark on one of the most beautiful drives you will find anywhere in the world, taking in majestic and spectacular views of Chilean Patagonia. Flamingo filled waters, snow-capped mountains and clay-red peaks covered in glacial melt, there’s no wonder it’s called, ‘La Ruta Escenica’ – The Scenic Route. Take the adventure one step, and one country, further by bringing your passport along and venturing over the border to the Argentinian side of Patagonia for even more marvellous views.

After a day of driving around the park, it’s time to get back on your feet and head off on a gentle 45-minute hike down to ‘La Confluencia’, the confluence of the Baker and Chacabuco Rivers. A tranquil spot to relax, sit by the water and take in the epic views that surround you. The perfect way to cool down after your hike, dive in and enjoy a swim in the crystal clear waters of Patagonia.

A Lake with a View

After your final breakfast at the lodge, you’ll carry on your discovery of Patagonia Park with a 3-hour car journey up to Bahia Mensa, where you will board a private boat to discover the unique scenic beauty known of the Natural Shrine Chapels of Marble. This miraculous landform is guaranteed to leave you speechless, however not for long as you continue north to Puerto Montt, the home of tectonic activity.

Mesmerising lakes, breathtaking volcanoes and a tranquil waterfall, there is never a dull sight in Puerto Montt. Beginning in the morning, you will head straight to the nature reserve, winding your way along a picturesque road on the shores of Lake Llanquihue to the base of the Osorno Volcano. Once inside the park, you will visit the spectacular Petrohue Falls before taking a private catamaran across the serene Lake Toros de Santos, framed by awe-inspiring vistas of the snow-capped volcanoes.

At the end of this mesmerising adventure, you will arrive at Peulla, a small but vibrant village in the middle of the Andes. In Peulla, you will have the opportunity to explore the village and take advantage of eco-touristic activities such as zip-lining before a delightful lunch full of local cuisine.

Picturesque Patagonia

As you can tell already, Patagonia is a chocolate box of landscapes which is why it is one of the most visited areas in the world. Arriving into Punta Arenas, you will check into Tierra Patagonia, the epitome of luxury, before heading off for a short walk amongst the panoramic views of Lake Sarmiento, exotic Patagonian wildlife and jagged peaks of the Torres Del Paine mountain range. After a well-earned evening of relaxing, it’s up early again tomorrow for a full day voyage to the west side of the national park, stopping at various stages to admire the beauty of the national park and, most significantly, the enchanting Grey Lake with its expansive views of the ice-capped mountains.

Next up on this unique journey is an exclusive morning horse ride through an ancient forest of lenga trees, offering you the chance to discover the region in a style reminiscent of early explorers. In the afternoon, explore the Origins of Life on a hike along the shores of Lake Sarmiento which will transport you back to an earlier geological age. To conclude this epic adventure, take on a final hike through charming forestland, emerging at a remarkable viewpoint which looks out over the largest lake in the area, Lago Del Toro. Chile is a country you can never tire of, but we figure you’ve probably had your fill of wondrous landscapes for now, so return to your hotel for some well-deserved downtime before heading home.
