Six Senses Fiji
Set your watch to island time as you plot a route down into the far reaches of the Pacific and onto the pristine shores of Six Senses Fiji. A place so far-flung that everyday life can’t touch you, it’s all sunset sails, deep-sea dives and 24-carat gold facials here. Where 24 tropical villas and 10 residences make their home within verdant jungles and upon silky sands and three restaurants offer up a taste of the South Pacific, it’s the perfect escape.
Location
In a 333-strong archipelago where each island seems even more beautiful than the last, Six Senses Fiji has found its home on Malolo Island. Part of the Mamanuca Islands, it takes first prize if you ask us. A quick 20-minute speedboat ride from the main airport in Nadi, or a quicker still helicopter hop if you just can’t wait any longer, and you’re here. A playground of adventure both above and below water, snorkel, dive, sail and hike to your heart’s content – or do nothing at all and relax back on the sands.
Your Room
Embracing traditional Fijian design the 34 villas and residences sit beneath thatched roofs and within brushed wooden panelled walls, with local artworks and bold colours giving a pop of Pacific style. Large bi-fold doors open out onto private pools in each villa, nicknamed as hideaways with their private spots ensconced within the jungle. For your very own island home, the residences offer anything between two and five bedrooms in your own private corner of the island.
Why we like it
It simply wouldn’t be a Six Senses without a spa that makes our hearts beat a little faster. This one is no exception. A contemporary interpretation of a Fijian village, the message here is all about getting back to basics and the rejuvenating power of nature. After a traditional Bobo massage, pick up a hand blended juice from the Alchemy Bar or flex your muscles in the jungle gym.
