The spa is among the best in the Caribbean, drawing on local ingredients like nutmeg and cocoa in its treatments. And the cuisine, across multiple restaurants, is genuinely impressive. The pan-seared scallops at Oliver’s are a must.
SUSTAINABILITY
Spice Island has a tangible commitment to sustainability. Solar energy heats water across the property, a desalination plant reduces freshwater consumption, and a beachfront replanting program helps protect against coastal erosion. An organic garden supplies fresh herbs and produce directly to the resort’s kitchens, and single-use plastics have been replaced with biodegradable and plant-based alternatives throughout. The resort also funds the Sir Royston Hopkin Scholarship, supporting the education of children from the surrounding community.
