Rambagh Palace, Jaipur
The royal treatment comes naturally at Rambagh Palace and in this former home of the Maharaja of Jaipur, you should expect nothing less. A place of such elaborate splendour, you’ll feel as if the Maharaja has personally extended the invite himself. Chandelier-lit ballrooms which double as gourmet restaurants, intricately landscaped Mughal gardens that hide the serenity of Jiva Spa and 78 exquisite guest rooms and suites; this is a palace in every sense of the word.
Location
In a peaceful corner of the Pink City, Rambagh Palace offers the best of both worlds as you stroll through gardens one moment and navigate bustling markets the next. Just 15-minute’s from Jaipur Train Station, disembark here and spend a few days living like royalty.
Your Room
Sumptuous fabrics, hand-carved furnishings and intricate decor; what else did you expect of a stay in a palace? Each of the 78 rooms and suites stays true to their heritage whilst contemporary touches add modern-day luxury. Inspired by peacocks, palaces and monarchs, expect gilded edges, swathes of colour and king-size beds you’ll never want to leave. Plus, with personal butlers on hand to treat you like personal guests of the Maharaja, you’ll never have to.
Why we like it
We fell in love with Rambagh Palace from the moment we arrived. Coming up the drive to a ceremonial welcome, you can’t fail to miss the line of camels, horses and elephants all stood to attention in elaborate caparisons and trappers. Pulling up closer, ladies in traditional Rajasthani dress await to perform tika ceremonies to the music of the Shenenai. It’s a welcome that will set the tone perfectly for the rest of this very regal stay.
