Infusing the traditions of Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast with modern elegance, Helena Bay Lodge makes for the perfect coastal New Zealand experience. With three kilometres of pristine coastline and four private beaches, Helena Bay Lodge provides its guests with the dream North Island settings. Boasting just five suites, this Lodge is the ideal location for travellers in search of privacy and tranquillity.
This idyllically remote Lodge is 40 minutes by helicopter or a scenic three-hour drive from Auckland. The closest town is 45 minutes away and therefore its solitariness means that there is an overabundance of unspoiled trails and tracks ready to be explored.
All named after New Zealand native birds, Helena Bay Lodge’s five suites personify exclusivity and luxury. All boasting extensive balconies with awe-inspiring views of Helena Bay and the South Pacific Ocean and divine walk-in wardrobes, it’s little wonder that this Lodge features on Condé Nast Traveller’s 2017 Hot List.
Why we like it
With a philosophy of ‘Estate to Plate’ cuisine and enough activities to keep you occupied for a lifetime, this hotel ticks all the Black Tomato boxes. Nevertheless, we particularly recommend spending an afternoon in the spa for the perfect afternoon of relaxation and rejuvenation. Honeymooners or couples looking for the ultra-romantic retreat; Helena Bay Lodge is calling.
