Cape Town is South Africa’s cosmopolitan hub, and in hotel stakes, Cape Grace is sitting as high as Table Mountain when it comes to prestige. With 120 rooms resting in front of Victoria and Albert Waterfront, it rewards guests with a spectacular view, where you can watch the harbour at work at one end, whilst the other is occupied by a multi-millionaire yacht basin.
From Cape Town International Airport, it is only a 20 minute taxi trip. Positioned on the V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain gracefully peaks over the hotel. A stone’s throw away from world-renowned restaurants and bars, and even Camps Bay – Cape’s café culture hub and shopping hotspot.
All rooms are elegantly decorated to the finest detail. Hand painted fabrics and homemade metal-works – each room is unique. But, our highlight is the French double doors that exude light into your room. From high above the bay, you can watch everyone continue on with their day-to-day chores, whilst you sit back and admire.
WHY WE LIKE IT
We always have a favourite bar when away, and lucky for us, Cape Town’s favourite is Bascule whisky and wine bar – situated in Cape Grace. Overlooking the V&A private quay and in an ideal location, the bar attracts Cape’s locals and international guests. It serves a superb breakfast with knockout views and, in the evening, social butterflies descend for a glamorous evening of cocktails, whisky and wine.
