Location
The Marine is above the oceanfront of Hermanus’ Walker Bay, and just a short walking distance to the local seafood grills and restaurants that overlook the sea. You can get from the airport in Cape Town in just under an hour and a half – with a beautiful drive along the way – and you are in a prime spot for exploring the Western Cape winelands too.

The Marine has 40 rooms and suites to choose from, each with their own signature décor. We’ll book you into a suite so you can be sure to make the most of stunning views across the ocean, home to the region’s whale sanctuary.
Why We Like It?
We’ve mentioned it already, but the location of The Marine really is incredible for glimpsing whales and endangered Great White Sharks that reside in the waters below. We recommend basking in the early evening sun at The Sun Lounge, looking out for marine life as you sample a few cocktails. Then as your whale watching turns to stargazing, tuck into some of the Cape’s best cuisine.
