The pinnacle of private, through each corner of the world we have travelled, we have encountered some of the most jaw–dropping private properties. Places so private, you wouldn’t know they’re there till you’re at the door. Places you can’t access by conventional roads. Places which push luxury to the extreme. You just have to know where to find them.

If you’re craving the privacy of a villa but are reluctant to leave behind the trappings of hotel service, all is not lost. Villa resorts can be a great solution when you’re in need of your own space as well as a broad range of facilities. There’s a flexibility to be had here, dine in the resort restaurant if you wish, but if you’d rather not, we can send a private chef to you no problem. You’ll also benefit from private butler service, meaning everything you could need will be at your fingertips. 

Villa resorts are a great solution when travelling with a slightly smaller group too, with accommodations typically ranging between one and five bedrooms. Some of our favourites include the palatial Amanzoe in Greece with its private beach club, the reclusive Annandale on New Zealand’s Banks Peninsula (head to Seascape for an intimate escape for two) and the uninhibited exclusivity of the Seychelles’ North Island.

It may sound extravagant, but hotel buyouts can be a great option for larger groups seeking a private space. They are the perfect answer to ‘no villa big enough’ and the desire to be the only guests. Coming in all shapes and sizes, from intimate eight-bedroom lodges to sprawling 40-person estates, buyouts open the doors to your perfect stay. 

Most hotels will offer buyouts – it’s simply a case of knowing who to ask and planning with sufficient notice. That’s where we can help. We’ve spent years cultivating relationships with top hotels so that with just one phone call you’ll have the run of the house. We know the properties where buyouts work best, Borgo Egnazia in Puglia for a big celebration for instance, but we also know how to tie in a range of unique experiences and how to get everyone there, on time and in the right room.  

Logistics matter when it comes to buyouts. There are a lot of moving parts, with these trips often resembling a blend of private travel and mini-event.
