Following a scenic 50-minute flight from the capital city of San Jose to Golfito, a 30-minute private speed-boat will take you straight to the shores of Playa Cativo. All 18 suites at Playa Cativo are adorned with natural wood furnishings, personifying the splendour beyond the walls. Why we like it
While the beach-front pool is stunning, we found we could barely stay off the ocean with everything from whale watching to snorkelling, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding. Back on dry land, wellness is the order of the day with beachfront yoga, deep tissue massages, revitalizing meditation and farm-to-table meals.
