Location

Whilst Berber Lodge lies just twenty minutes outside of Marrakech, you really couldn’t feel further away from it all here. A short hop away from Lake Takerkourst, swap the thrum of the Medina for the peace of Morocco’s natural side. Tucked just outside the village of Oumes, stepping into Berber Lodge is akin to stepping into an authentic Berber village. Pink-hued lodges are set amongst olive groves and interspersed with the occasional courtyard and garden lawn, creating a feeling of utter tranquillity and romance.

Why we like it

There’s something just so magical about Berber Lodge and we’re putting it down to the elegance of simplicity. Built using traditional earthen bricks, the design is deliberately pared-back yet brought to life with colourful vintage fabrics and gleaming marble. In the kitchens, simple Moroccan dishes are transformed through an ever-changing menu with emphasis on fresh produce from the Lodge’s organic garden. Gazing out from the main lounge to the tranquil pool set amongst green lawns and shaded by trees, we have to pinch ourselves every time we arrive.
