Ever elegant as it boasts a truly charming Provençal-style, the rustic finca, Belmond La Residencia with its 61 rooms is your idyllic island getaway. Former twin manor houses sit up in the secluded northwest corner of the Mediterranean marvel of Mallorca, nestled amongst a stunning spread of olive and orange orchards. Here out on the Balearic Island archipelago, you’re certain to find the height of harmony as you settle into beautiful beaches and lush mountain landscapes blessed with the gorgeous Spanish sun. Searching for a relaxing retreat or an action-filled adventure, Mallorca offers scope for a variety of your holiday needs.
Sheltered against Mallorca’s rich, green Tramuntana Mountains, overlooking the gorgeous azure of the Balearic Sea, La Residencia sits quietly and comfortably in the delightful village of Deià. Being only a 45-minute drive from Palma’s International airport, La Residencia is within easy reach, yet still conveys a sense of calm remoteness. Wind down toward the pretty pebbled cove and take a refreshing dip or, alternatively, take advantage of the extensive range of activities, from hiking and climbing to cycling and sailing; not to mention the amazing golf the island prides itself on. Notably, Mallorca’s GR 221 walking trail is also an all-time island favourite, so get trekking and be enchanted by the island’s scenery.
Authenticity and luxury were evidently key factors when designing and decorating La Residencia’s spacious rooms. Each individually inspired, equipped with all up-to-date mod cons and embellished with a sprinkling of traditional Mallorcan antiques and artwork, rooms radiate a truly relaxing and charming atmosphere to come back to. La Residencia’s suites and very own villa showcase private pools and patio terraces for you to soak up the incredible vistas in style – the villa even boasts a barbecue so get grilling in island bliss.
Why we like it
It is impossible for you not to find tranquillity here at La Residencia, but the hotel’s award-winning spa completely surpasses itself, so take yourself down to the massage tables where you’ll fulfil your relaxation needs. We absolutely loved the signature treatment, the ‘Citrus Siesta’ massage, which makes use of the local produce in order to de-stress, relax and refresh.
