Built in the 1890’s the Elite hotel’s 100 year old air of elegance has been carefully maintained while the interior has been given a modern facelift with simple, tasteful deco throughout. If you get the chance, swing by the festivity hall, the French renaissance styled room is stunningly decorated with beautiful crystal chandeliers, with white and gold detail running throughout. If a more casual setting is more your thing, the Bishops Arms pub offers a variety of beers and whiskeys to keep you warm on those cold winter nights.
Over looking the city park and north harbour this hotel is situated on Luleå’s main street, Storgatan. Set in the heart of the city it is ideal for exploring, and couldn’t be easier to get out to visit the many highlights around the archipelago. Including floating over ice on a hovercraft or visiting the picturesque UNESCO church town of Gammelstad
It’s classic comfort at the Elite. A room you can rely on to provide you with all the comforts and luxuries with a dash of impeccable style; think soft hues of browns and creams that create a perfectly relaxing ambiance. Our tip; ask for a sea view, it’s well worth it.
why we like it
We think that when it comes to location you couldn’t be better placed than at the Elite. It’s ideal for all the fabulous day trips in the surrounding area. Being in the heart of the city has access to all the best restaurants and bars, which can become fairly tricky to get to in the thick of winter if you aren’t in the centre of town.
